Everything Changed
One morning... Jackie was found grounded after defending herself against two younger bald eagles fighting over food and territory. She stood her ground. But she couldn't fly. The entire world held its breath.
The Rescue
The San Dimas Raptor Rescue Team, Friends of Big Bear Valley, and the San Bernardino County Fire Department worked together to rescue Jackie. She was stabilized before being transported to the Ojai Raptor Center.

A Fighter
Veterinarians discovered Jackie was underweight. She was suffering from anemia. Inflammation affected her kidneys. Yet every day... She became stronger. She stood. She perched. She began eating again. Hope returned.
Fly Again
